Gary Neville 'objects' to Roy Keane comment after brutal assessment of Man Utd star

Roy Keane has launched a scathing attack on Manchester United star Benjamin Sekso who he compared to budget airline Ryanair – prompting Gary Neville to jump in and defend the striker.
Sesko scored a sublime last-gasp equaliser against West Ham United on Tuesday night, his fifth goal in his last six appearances.
That return has largely come from the bench with Michael Carrick utilising the 22-year-old as a substitute in the second-half of games.
Signed from RB Leipzig last summer for £74million, Sesko has struggled at times and has not always been an automatic starter at Old Trafford , still to start a game under Carrick.
But there have been moments of real promise with a return of seven goals in 23 appearances an improving return.
Keane is not having it, however. With his finish against the Hammers brought up on the latest episode of The Overlap, the former United captain compared Sesko’s progress to budget airline Ryanair – patting themselves on the back for doing things ‘everyone thinks are the norm’.
‘Sesko is like Ryanair,’ Keane said. ‘You know when they land, and they play the music: “We’ve landed on time.” That’s Sesko and United. It’s what he’s supposed to do.
"You're like Ryanair!" 😂Only Roy could make an analogy like this about Benjamin Sesko! 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/rlMhJe1j5p — The Overlap (@WeAreTheOverlap) February 12, 2026
‘Sorry, but is that what he’s supposed to do, if you know what I mean?
‘I’m tired of you saying that he’s supposed to do something, and you score a goal and everyone… Manchester United, expectations, you’re like Ryanair.
‘If a flight’s on time, everyone’s f*****g laughing and joking, but usually you’re going to be two hours late, and then everyone thinks that’s the norm…’

Neville himself has been a vocal critic of Sesko this season but defended the striker on this occasion.
‘Roy, I’m going to object to that a bit,’ Neville said. ‘Sesko, that goal he scored last night wasn’t ordinary, and we all watch a lot of football matches.
‘I would see that goal scored one in 25 from that position ahead of the near post. I wouldn’t see that chance taken very often. It’d either be saved or he’d miss past the near post.
‘It was an exceptional goal.’
