Galatasaray put €150m price tag on Victor Osimhen to ward off interest
Galatasaray believe Victor Osimhen is worth €150m (£130m) after his exploits with the Turkish side.
Osimhen became the most expensive signing in Turkish football history when joining Galatasaray for a fee of €75m last summer. It followed a prolific loan spell with the Istanbul outfit, who secured the shock signing of the striker from Napoli.
Galatasaray’s pursuit of Osimhen came as the Süper Lig side aim to move past domestic dominance and challenge Europe’s top teams.
The Nigerian forward scored as Galatasaray eliminated Juventus from the Champions League on Wednesday night, securing the club’s place in the Round of 16 for the first time in over a decade.
Osimhen has been central to their European exploits, scoring seven times in the Champions League, and now has 66 goal involvements in 65 games since joining the club.

Rumoured interest from across Europe has emerged, but Galatasaray are insistent that Osimhen is the centrepiece of their long-term project. Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Saudi Pro League sides have previously courted the player.
The club’s vice-president, Abdullah Kavukcu, has warned Osimhen is untouchable for most teams. He believes Osimhen’s market value has doubled since his permanent arrival in Istanbul.
“When we purchased him, many spoke of it as a crazy investment. I think Victor has proven everyone wrong, considering that his value has doubled.
“We know he is one of the best centre-forwards in the world and we want to achieve great goals together,” he told the media.
