Brentford hope to add to Brighton & Hove Albion's misery in Premier League meeting

Brighton & Hove Albion travel to Brentford today, with the two teams experiencing different runs of form.

When the Bees took on Brighton last season, they were level pegging on the same number of points. This time around, Keith Andrews' side is well out ahead of their rivals in the 'well-run mid-table Premier League' stakes.

Brentford currently sit in seventh place, just two points behind Liverpool and four behind Chelsea. The North West Londoners showed great grit and attacking intent when they held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw a week and a half ago. Now they are hoping to maintain their push for a European berth next term.

Brighton & Hove Albion travel to the Gtech Community Stadium hoping to inject a bit of sunshine into a sorry run. On Valentine's Day, Liverpool broke their hearts with a 3-0 drubbing in the FA Cup, after the Seagulls fell to rivals Crystal Palace the Sunday before in the Premier League.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has attempted to keep things positive, despite his team now sitting just seven points above the relegation zone.

"We can't feel sorry for ourselves, we can't complain about these moments. It is about us and me taking responsibility and working for it. You have to do the small step right and then we can take a big step," he told BBC Sport following the Liverpool clash.
