Benjamin Sesko hailed the performance of Manchester United teammate Casemiro after the Red Devils sealed a stunning late victory against Fulham .
Michael Carrick ’s rejuvenated side looked well on course for a third straightwin of his interim tenure when they led by two goals 11 minutes into the second half.
Casemiro was to the fore in both goals, heading home the opener following Bruno Fernandes ’ free-kick, before turning provider with a clever no-look pass that allowed compatriot Matheus Cunha to beat Bernd Leno at the near post with a thumping shot.
The veteran Brazil international, who last week confirmed his intention to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season when his contract expires, was substituted with 15 minutes remaining to a standing ovation after which United lost control of the game.
Raul Jimenez halved the deficit from the spot before Kevin’s astonishing strike as the clock struck 90 appeared to have earned the visitors a miraculous point.
There was, however, still time for Sesko to have a decisive say when he controlled another pinpoint Fernandes cross, took a touch and lashed the ball into the corner to spark pandemonium in the Stretford End.
While the summer signing was happy to take the lion’s share of the acclaim, especially having missed an earlier chance that would have put the game to bed, he took time to pay tribute to a soon-to-be departing teammate.

‘He is an unbelievable player, a legend,’ said Sesko of a player who has turned his United career around.
‘It is nice to play with him and it is also nice to listen to his advice. His work rate is unbelievable and he gives all his teams a boost. We are grateful to have him with us.’
Sesko will hope, meanwhile, that the biggest goal of his own fledgling United career to date will prove a significant turning point having lost his place in the starting XI following Carrick’s appointment.
‘That was unbelievable,’ he said on the reaction to his matchwinning strike. ‘Scoring at home and scoring the winner is unbelievable.

‘I’ve been dreaming about that and dreaming that I can do that. We all know as a team how important these results are.
‘We are on a really great run right now and we are just hoping that we can continue to work hard like that to win games.
‘I’m really happy that I could help the team out. We can continue our streak now.’
On the Carrick-inspire newfound freedom United appear to be playing with, he added: ‘It’s true, he has said these things many times to the team.

‘That’s exactly what we are doing. But it’s not just that, you can see how much we work hard for each other without the ball and that also contributes to good results in the end.
