Riccardo Calafiori has been pictured back in training ahead of Arsenal ’s Premier League clash with Burnley .
The Italy international was forced off at half-time with a knock in last Sunday’s 1-0 victory over West Ham United.
Fears of a serious injury were eased somewhat with the former Bologna star spotted racing back out from the dugout to celebrate Leandro Trossard ’s winning goal in east London.
But speaking to the press on Thursday, Mikel Arteta admitted the defender was still a doubt.
‘We don’t know whether he’s going to be available or not,’ Arteta said.
‘We still have days ahead. Hopefully it’s nothing serious but we will have to wait and see how he reacts.’
After Arteta spoke, Calafiori was pictured heavily involved in the afternoon’s first-team training session with his teammates, showing no sign of injury in what will serve as a major boost ahead of Monday’s game.

Arsenal do have major problems on the other side of defence.
Ben White was also forced off in the win over West Ham with the club since confirming he has suffered a ‘significant’ medial knee ligament injury.
White will have no further role to play this season with his participation in England’s World Cup campaign now in major doubt.

Jurrien Timber meanwhile has not played since the win over Everton in mid-March due to a groin problem.
With the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain now looming large on 30 May, there is some hope he will recover in time for that showdown in Budapest.
